Granite State Spice Blends
Coffee Rub
Coffee Rub
An all purpose rub made from New Hampshire roasted fair trade coffee we grind down to a powder and carefully blend with herbs, spices, and a touch of Turbinado sugar.
We make this blend using beans roasted by Porcupine Coffee Roasting. They are a roaster based out of Pembroke, NH. Check out their website. They have great beans that make a perfect cup of coffee. I like to make cold brew with their Kenyan medium roast. Give them a try - you can even subscribe to their coffee subscription and have the beans shipped to your door.
Ingredients: Porcupine Coffee Roasters Kenyan Blend, Paprika, Garlic, Onion, Mild Chiles, Spices, Salt, Dark Cocoa Powder, Black Peppercorns
Suggested Uses:
- Steaks and Chops - give them a drizzle of avocado oil and a generous rub of this blend and hit them on a searing hot grill or cast iron pan.
- Winter Squashes - Peel, seed, cube, toss with oil, and season with this blend. The coffee's bitterness and the sweetness from the squash is a flavor combo that can't be matched.
